Diane Cooper has over 13 years of experience fighting for the rights of parties going through a divorce. Attorney Cooper has represented individuals and families with divorce, custody, paternity, child support and related issues. She has handled removal cases and even parental kidnapping cases in family court and in federal court. Due to the proliferation of restraining orders in recent years, Diane has become adept at restraining order hearings in both the criminal and family court. Finally, Attorney Cooper is no stranger to the adoption and the CHINS (children in need of services) processes in juvenile court and in family court.
Attorney Cooper has extensive trial experience and does not back down from a challenge. Diane insists that, in the majority of cases, children deserve both parents. Often times, children become the unseen and unheard victims of the family court process. Diane R. Cooper is a true fighter and focuses on what is truly in the "best interests" of the child.
Given her years of experience as an Assistant District Attorney in the Essex County District Attorney's Office, Attorney Cooper has amassed significant jury trial experience handing misdemeanor and felony cases of all kinds.
